If a shop uses full transparency and you're comfortable with a different type of metal, then hit that 'buy now' button and support 'em! Just be aware of what you're ordering.

The reason I continue to make a point to focus on this, which most people would probably think seems so insignificant, is because when I see these shops misleading consumers they're also charging the same, if not more, than sterling silver jewelry.

It's your hard earned money and you can choose to spend it however you please - all I ask is that you know what you're purchasing...and what it's really worth.

I am passionate about this topic because I want to raise awareness for consumers to know what they are truly ordering. If you're going to spend $30 - $40 on a necklace, shouldn't it be made of precious metal? (Yes, there are tons of shops out there selling at that price point for a plated or even pewter metals)
